Impressions from the opening Night


This month, my solo exhibition Luminous Horizons has officially launched at the NIO House Berlin. The opening night went great, and I really appreciated everyone who showed up and spent time with the work. Looking back at all the preparation, the printing, and the work that went into my first small photo book, it feels good to see it all come together in a space.

I'm happy to share a few impressions here.

Luminous Horizons is a long-term night photography project built around a experimental camera technique that I developed myself. It started over 6 years ago in Australia, when I first experimented with prisms during long exposures. Over the years, I refined it into a method of creating light trails and visual effects directly in-camera, without digital manipulation.


The exhibition is still on view for two months until the end of August in the upper floor of NIO House Berlin, right at the Kurfürstendamm. Anyone interested in seeing the exhibition can visit it free of charge during NIO House’s regular opening hours.
